Barrio Latino: July 24th, 2012
event: Night out in the Latin Quarter
outfit: pieced column dress: Anthropologie; flats: BCBG Paris; necklace: borrowed
After an all-day bike tour in Giverny, we grabbed Chinese food across the street, showered, and got ourselves out the door to meet Andrea’s (French) cousin, Pierre, and his friend Matthieu. I think we all thought we’d just be meeting for a drink or two, but somehow we spent 6ish hours at a stunning bar/restaurant in the Latin Quarter
Bottle upon bottle of champagne was generously popped (our $ was not accepted), and we all had a very fun, ridiculous night o’ dancing and drinking. I love getting to see a city with people who know it well. We got to take advantage of this connection the next night, too—-yay!
This was one of those nights you can just feel early on is going to be exciting, and so it was! Ah, I’m missing it all already. I’ll even have better pictures to remember it by, since there was ridiculously a professional photographer there and Andrea’s cousin got a CD o’ images from him. Ah, so not my usual lifestyle, but, as we liked to joke on this trip “I think I was just born into the wrong social class…”.
I kid, I kid. Middle class is just fine. But I am very grateful for a couple of decadent, fabulous evenings. Merci, Paris!

How fun! If you can’t be part of the 1%, it’s great to be friends with those who are, right?
BTW, I LOVE your hair like this!
Exactly. And thanks—it felt very Carrie Bradshaw (/easy!).
You look awesome! That dress looks great on you! What size did you have to get in it? I am not sure if I should get e medium or large because I am afraid it fits very tightly. Thanks.

Thanks, Claire! I got a medium, which admittedly pretty much clings to me (especially after a week of croissants ha). The large felt a bit big to me/ somehow not as flattering, but who knows! Good luck
It looks great on you! You made the right choice. Thanks for the info!
