Burgers & Cappuccinos: July 25th, 2012
event: afternoon in our neighborhood

Well, after our evening out in the Latin Quarter, we were all, er, slow to rise on Wednesday. We had visions of Versailles or even just Musee d’orsay, but they pretty much turned into a late hamburger/frites lunch and a little window shopping & people watching before another night out.
The great thing about being in one city for a week is that this felt okay. We had some incredibly jam-packed days, and then a couple of slower-paced ones, because we felt that we could. In this case, anyway, I wouldn’t trade in 4am dancing for any museum. Balance. Once we all felt fairly human again, we had a nice afternoon.
And then went out and did it all over again. My solo journey home was…rough. Ah, well…our motto of the trip: YOLO (to be chanted in a ridiculous voice, loudly). The more I think about it, the more I see how amazing a trip like this is: how likely is it that I’ll be able to vacation this way, just with girlfriends for 1.5 weeks in Europe, even a couple of years from now?
Can’t recommend it highly enough.
