Event: 3rd Thanksgiving (at Adam’s), Local H concert @ 115 Bourbon Street in Chicago

The Outfit:

White v-neck tee and two-tone skirt: Old Navy

Black tank with lace detail: Charlotte Russe

Black belt: Forever 21

Textured brown tights: Gap

Black boots: Aldo

Dark brown tortoiseshell glasses: Hugo Boss via Costco

3-layer necklace: Gift from Anna (and put together by her!)

I was glad this outfit wound up making it through the day. I had initially planned to change for the concert, but Adam complimented

textured tights from Gap

this outfit enough that I felt comfortable staying in it haha. I typically NEVER wear my glasses to bars, concerts, date nights, etc, but I made an exception. The reality is: I have chronic dry eye. Wearing contacts is going to be painful for me, even if the discomfort doesn’t set in for a couple of hours. While I’m still going to wear them to work out and every now and then….I need to make my peace with glasses as a chic accessories and not just something that makes me feel less put- together and attractive/like I should be in the library.

Which, honestly, is easier said than done. But ANYWAY.

My sister gave me this beautiful necklace for my birthday, but it broke while I was in Scotland. She kindly repaired it this week, so VOILA! Will be a frequent jewelry pick from now on.

Figuring out how to wear shirt with skirts with fuller cuts/waistbands I want to show off has been kind of challenging. Tucking in t-shirts is not my favorite, but I like the way the belt makes it a bit more structured. We’ll see if I come up with something better in the future.

And now it’s time to eat my pizza and relax a bit. Back in Champaign…which means it’s time to get back to work.
