Scottish Festival 2010.

I spent yesterday afternoon seeking out Morrison Green kilts, listening to bagpipers, seeing men (and a lady) perform the caber toss, admiring Celtic jewelry, and—-of course—-tastings lots o’ scotch. The amount of scotch vendors went down pretty dramatically, which was a bummer, but Dewars and Johnnie Walker did their best. I loved that Talisker was available—we toured their distillery on Isle of Skye last year. I pretty much don’t drink scotch any other time of year but, for the festival, I am all for it!

Here’s to three years of enjoying the Scottish Festival! I love having traditions with my guy, especially when they revolve around a place that we’ve enjoyed together. The past two festivals have involved Adam’s friends, too, which has been fun. This weekend was particularly special, considering Beth and Jeff are getting married in SIX days (and were awesomely able to join us). Wowza. I’m getting very excited to witness their nuptials!

Do you have any annual events you just can’t miss?

  1. Looks so fun! You both were adorable in the maxi dresses. We have a festival in my town every year the weekend after Labor Day, so I always enjoy that šŸ™‚

  2. I love the maxi dress with the belt. Such a great idea! Maybe I’m missing it, but where is the belt from? I’ve been after a big brown belt like that!

    • Thanks! And, sorry, editing the post now—the belt is from F21. I got it last summer, but I’ve seen similar ones there more recently! šŸ™‚

  3. How fun!! I would love to see some other pale faces like myself =) hehehe wish I could go!
