Black, White & Red: September 10th, 2010

Event: Work, heading up to Lake Geneva

Outfit: Long-sleeved tee & jeans: Gap; Red flats: Target; Bib necklace: Flea market in WI

I’ve been looking for a way to wear my flea market find during the day. This black and white tee seemed like a good fit. I don’t think these photos are the most flattering, but I liked the outfit in real life. Black, white & red always feel so classic to me, and the necklace brought a little extra to the table for a casual Friday.

Below are some Lake Geneva weekend photos, just because. Adam’s friend group from high school consists mostly of couples (newlyweds Beth & Jeff, newly-engageds Jared & Deena, 2-year-loves Becky & Jim), which means I get to enjoy some girl time when we all get together, too. It was great talking to fellow-early-childhood-SLP-Beth and comparing our new jobs! But yes,  the weekend was basically about drinking. And eating. And drinking. Had some delicious pizza, tasted some good wine. Threw some coffee in there for good measure. Good times.

First, I love the outfit. SUPER classy.

Second, can Joe and I come to your next awesome couples’ weekend??? 🙂

  3. […] During a September weekend in Lake Geneva, us ladies discussed a girls’ weekend. And this weekend…IT HAPPENED! Beth drove up from Champaign, Becky came in from Indianapolis (with her boyfriend Jim kindly accompanying her), I headed down from Milwaukee, and we all met at Deena’s (& Jared’s) place in Lombard.
