GIVEAWAY: linenlaid&felt
I’ve bragged about my friend Katie before, and with good reason. Her creative talents have always amazed me, so it’s no surprise that she now has her own etsy shop, filled with handmade books, woodcut prints, and the promise of custom orders (having seen how AMAZING Katie made her own wedding’s paper goods I’d recommend her services in a heartbeat).
The awesome news? Katie’s offering up this beautiful, Italian Long-stitch book. How was it made? Burgundy suede pants found in an Athens, Georgia, thrift store were upcycled into the cover for this journal. Decorative leather strips that zigzagged down the pant legs have been transformed into the tie that wraps and closes the book. (Remember the giveaway hint?)
It would make a perfect present…or Christmas gift to yourself! Here’s how to enter:
I love handmade books…thanks for the link! I really love the books of Etsy seller Kreativlink as well, I gave one of hers to a friend of mine for his wedding. ๐ She’s from Austria like me, which is nice.
However, Katie! I really like the Wedding Guest Book, because I’m a huge sucker for cherry blossoms. Her woodcuts also look lovely…and I’m a paper nerd in general, so all those prettily printed notebooks make me smile. ๐
Hope you’re having a great time in Ireland! One of my favourite countries…Irish people are the best. ๐

I love handmade books. Their so beautiful that I don’t want to write in them!
I especially love the Coptic Journal with gold and brown leaves:

I love the Wedding Guest Book with light pink cherry blossoms. I am a great fan of those beautiful little flowers ๐ I would love to have it for myself, just to look at it and admire it’s beauty… because I would be afraid to destroy it with my ugly handwriting ๐
