Third Ward Christmas.

I find our neighborhood to be beyond awesome. This Friday-Saturday was “Christmas in the Third Ward“, which entailed the official tree-lighting, reindeer, photos with holiday characters/Santa, fireworks, $3 carriage rides, hot cocoa, cookie sales, musical performances, Irish dancers, and more. Arwen made friends with Frosty, and us humans went for a warming dinner at Hinterland post-celebration (like the Brazilian steak house experience—way expensive, way delicious). On Saturday there was also a “taste & stroll” around the Ward, where quite a few restaurants featured a small plate item (or drink) for $5. We had delicious pot roast at the Ale House and sliders at Charlie’s. Mmmmm. Stopped by and pretty much crossed a potential wedding venue off the list (Cuvee—gorgeous but too small for us) and got new ideas. Reception at a brewery? Ceremony at a theatre? One never knows…
