Vegas Part III: January 30th, 2011

Event: Dinner & gambling at The Palms

Outfit: Silken stitches dress: Anthropologie; Necklace: Flea market; Tights: Hue; Ruffled heels: Steve Madden

Last night in Vegas. Sadness.

Adam had an hour-long orientation for work, so I got my chance to watch the SAG awards from the jacuzzi and chillax. We spent the evening all within the confines of The Palms alongside Adam’s co-workers, which was really nice. From Palms Place you have to take the “SKY TUBE” over to The Palms, which is the most pretentious name I’ve ever heard for a moving walkway. But, um, yes, the proximity rocked. I only wore 4″ heels on this night, so I’m sure walking the strip would’ve been FINE (ha.ha.), but this was an excellent break.

We had a nice dinner at one of the restaurants right off of the casino and then split up to do our preferred types o’ gambling (which, for me, has yet to be discovered…but video blackjack remained the most popular choice). I spent the night with Cat (one of Adam’s co-worker’s wives) playing the slots and taking a peek at the Playboy club. Yep, I just had to spot a bunny—and take in the fabulous view o’ Vegas. I had a morning flight, so the night didn’t go too late (by Vegas standards), but it was a good end to the trip.

This dress was the last item on my Anthro wish list, which I had tried on in SEPTEMBER. Ridiculous. Waiting for the sale always feels worth it, though. I really loved my grey, ruffled shoes with this look, which you can’t really see here. This felt like a good balance between VEGAS and, well, meeting a lot of Adam’s co-workers/bosses.

This is the last of the Vegas evening looks. I believe there’s still a daytime look in the vault (aka Adam’s camera), plus all my touristy HOTEL LOBBY shots. I know you’re dying to see the Bellagio ceiling. 😉
