(Fri)Day & Night: May 27th, 2011

Events: Day: Work; Night: Lakefront Brewery tour/dinner, out in the Third Ward

Outfits: Suit jacket: JCPenney; Headband: LOFT Outlet; DAY: White tee/tank: Old Navy; Cropped jeans & flats: Gap; Necklace: Gift (from francesca’s); NIGHT: Black tank: Old Navy; Skirt: Anthropologie; Sandals: Target; Necklace: The Limited

Last Friday was a rarity for me: a full-on paperwork day. No meetings on the docket! I spent most of the day working on progress reports (which, as of today, are DONE) and making lots o’ visuals (I’m a Boardmaker, printing, cut/laminate/cut, velcro machine). Went with a basic tee/color palette to highlight the necklace Aastha gave me for my birthday—such a nice gift!

After battling the Memorial Day traffic and making it home, I hit the ground running (literally) and headed outside for a quick workout before spending the night at our reception venue (Lakefront Brewery) with a group of friends. The tours there (along with the beer, of course) rock—-highly recommend! The food there was also excellent, which is promising for our upcoming tasting. We all spent the rest of the night out in the Third Ward, playing ping pong and talking. Such a nice start to the weekend, and it was so excellent to finally have skirt-bare-legs-worthy-weather. I really feel like, as Midwesterners, we forget how truly wonderful summer weather is. The first few days of 70+ degree temperatures are MAGICAL.

Please keep the magic going, Mother Nature.
