Olive & Navy: September 12th, 2011

Event: Work

Outfit: Shirt: JCrew Factory; Tank: Old Navy; Grey pants: The Limited; Necklace: stella & dot; Sandals: Target

This is one of those looks that I was really diggin’ at the beginning of the day…and kind of looked rumpled and iffy by the end. I don’t think my bright red nose/coughing added much to the look. But…ANYWHO. I still stand by the combo of navy-blingin’ necklace and olive shirt. Love.

It’s only Tuesday and it feels a bit like the week is dragging, but GUESS WHAT APPEARED ON MY DESK TODAY?

An iPad.

Booyeah. The girl with a free flip phone & a half-broken PC laptop has an iPad! It’s for work purposes, of course, and thus does not truly belong to me, but I’m so excited to have such a rockin’ therapy tool! Downloaded a bunch of articulation/PECS related apps tonight and see lots and lots of potential. Throw this next to my (awesomely gifted) Nooks and it looks like I live in this decade! Every SLP in our school district now has one—-they are truly that amazing when it comes to communication for our kids. Especially for my kids who are just starting to put 2-3 words together…visuals are a must.

Alright, switching back over to the iPad. Not adept enough to tackle blogging from there. Hope you’re having a great Tuesday!

  1. So cool. My work iPad is sitting in a drawer somewhere because they haven’t “had time” to put the apps on them and distribute.

  2. Oooh, fun new toy…I’m jealous!

And I ADORE this outfit! The knotted shirt and autumnal colors are awesome.

  3. Oh, I want one! I just got an iphone a few months ago and I love it – now I’m ready for an ipad:)

I love the knotted shirt look you have going on. It is very flattering.

  4. Congrats on the iPad – it is such a game changer. Let me know when you get words with friends so we can play. 🙂

  5. WOW and iPad for work?? Awesome! Love the tied top, accents your teeny tiny waist!

  6. That is awesome! I plan on asking for one for a graduation present (maybe wishful thinking)–I can see it being extremely useful in grad school while working with kids! Plus I’ve heard they have awesome apps for studying things like neuroanatomy. That’s awesome your job provides one!
