Christmas Snapshots.

Honestly, I just wrote a rather lengthy blog post, but—-per always lately—-it turned pretty sad. And, typically, that’s just not what I think Christmas is about. So let’s just look at some snapshots and focus on the positive—I have a supportive, kind family, and I was lucky to spend my day with them. Got some lovely presents, and I think my gifts were well-received (which always feels good!). I ate approximately nine million cookies, which is very traditional. Also logged 4 miles on the treadmill around 8:30pm, which is completely nontraditional.

Looking back: Christmas 2008, 2009, 2010. Reading these posts makes me a) especially heartbroken and b) especially grateful/proud that I now workout regularly (a little offense intended, 2008 Self). So, silver lining?

P.S. Okay, I have to re-insert one thing from my previous draft. My aunt’s Christmas tree was planted by her late husband in their woods, and was ready to serve as the tree this year. He passed away in 2004. Something pretty darned beautiful about that.
