Curves & DayQuil Ahead: February 3rd, 2012

Event: Work

Outfit: Cardigan & brogues: Target; Skirt: thrifted (Land’s End); Pin: River Island in Dublin; Bracelet: Lela sidewalk sale

Sickie McSickerson over here. I felt completely fine lat night, but this morning held the tell-tale achy throat. Made it through my morning, had the school nurse take my temperature (“So, um, this might be  bizarre request, but…), and took my feverish self home. Stopped for  2 minute photo shoot and a Dayquil/Nyquil combo pack on the drive. Oh, you little germ-spreaders. I NEVER KNOW WHEN YOU’LL WIN.

Off to zone out and hopefully get some paperwork done. Have some fun plans on the books this weekend, so really hoping a relaxing 24 hours can knock this out of my system. Honestly, I’m long overdue. Even with a busy, stressful year, my immune system has somehow stood up to the 4-year-olds until now. Thanks. Sort of.

Have a great Friday!

  1. I hope you feel better soon! Get a ton of rest and drink alot of fluids. If it’s anything like what my co-workers have been dealing with (and it sounds like it) you won’t be feeling good for another week (at least).

p.s. where did you take these pictures? I don’t remember seeing this road near us.

  2. I also have been feeling the start of a sick weekend coming on! Hope you get to relax this weekend and feel better soon!!

  3. I’ve had the school nurse take my temperature too. Love your cardigan, and hope you feel better soon.

  4. love these pics and the colors of your outfit! i hope you feel better ASAP!

  5. Feel better soon! And please, I’ve had our school nurse look in my throat and ears and take my temperature before. Who needs a doctor?!

  6. Oh, I hope you’re feeling better!!! 😦 I’m always afraid I’ll catch the kiddie germs. It’s why I shower twice a day!!
