Bumblebee*: March 12th, 2012

Event: Work

Outfit: Cardigan: swapped (NY&Co): Dress: The Limited; Flats: Nine West via endless.com; Studs: gift/from China

I love this dress because it’s such a go-to for nights out (see here + many other times!) and can easily be layered for work (here, here, here). Cost per wear is very low on thee, one-shouldered LBD. Was originally purchased for a bachelorette party and has gone way beyond earnings its keep (…and it was on sale to begin with, so it’s just full of win).

What a nonstop day. Had kids from 8am-10:30, IEP meeting from 11-11:45am at another school, afternoon booked from 12:15-3pm.  Managed a little lunch and bathroom breaks in there somewhere. Stayed after work until 4:30 to check some things off the to-do list. Should really do that more often, now that I don’t have the awful commute. Nicer to come home feeling like I can pretty much take the night off. Logged a short but sweet run shortly after walking in the door…now contemplating n evening of cookie-baking and cleaning. Have a sleepover buddy tomorrow aka my friend and 5K buddy Sarah—attending a conference together Wednesday morning—–so should be a little more motivated to get my clean on!

Have a fantabulous Monday night.

Below: a couple of photos of my new-ish Simply Vera coat, purchased a couple o’ months ago when shoppin’ with Anna. We both went home with one!

*Bumblebee as in the insect, not the Transformer. A common mistake if you’re a 3-year-old boy. Or an adult who lusts after Megan Fox and somehow didn’t fall asleep during the first movie (oops).

  1. What a cute top! Love that shade of marigold and flower detail!
