Eiffel Tower Twirl: July 22nd, 2012

event:day 3 in Paris
outfit: traced twirls dress: Anthropologie; flats: BCBG Paris/DSW; necklace: Stella & dot

So, guys, this was my dress’s rebirth o’ sorts. This was my “engagement photos” dress, and I haven’t had any desire to wear it since the breakup. But, um, what better way to change one’s way of thinking about an item than to wear it up to the top of the Eiffel Tower?! I deem this mission a success.

Loaded day: got up early to to start our day by going up the Tower (new experience!)…amazing experience. Great views, a glass of champagne at the top, a sandwich on the way down. Laura & I headed to the musee Rodin this afternoon (stunning, though we’d just recommend the 1 euro, garden only fare) and saw “The Thinker” + much more. Rounded out the afternoon by hitting up the champs-élysées to see the end of the tour de France. My dad is avid cyclist, and it was just pretty exciting to witness the culmination of such a huge journey! Sidewalks were packed.

Now…another beer break before dinner. Bon soir!

  1. Ah, I love checking in on your trip. Your girl friends seem like so much fun. And you’re all so damn stylish!

Your dress is perfect for Paris. Now, every time you wear it, you’ll have these fabulous memories to associate with it. Smart girl!

  2. What an awesome day! I love that you “re-birthed” the dress around a lovely event. I totally agree with what Ginger said. Hope the rest of your trip is fabulous.
On an unrelated note when I saw the picture of you and your friend with the statue for a second I thought you were Tebowing . . . I should have known better, you clearly have way better taste than that.

  3. yay im glad your dress has a new lovely connotation! i adore that pic of you twirling in front of la tour eiffel 😀
